Tree Budget is built on one simple rule: your finances are nobody's business but yours. This policy explains what data the app and this website handle — and why there is so little of it.
No data collection
Tree Budget works entirely offline. The app creates no account, asks for no email, and sends no information to any server. The people behind Tree Budget have access to none of your data, simply because it never reaches them.
Local storage
Your budget is saved in a database file, on your device only. Nothing is uploaded to the cloud.
Your backups
A backup created from the app is a plain file, encrypted if you protect it with a password, that you keep wherever you like: USB key, email, the cloud of your choice. It never goes through us.
No bank connection
Tree Budget never connects to your bank accounts. The app projects your budget from the amounts you enter: no banking credentials, no aggregator, no external sync.
Buying Premium
Premium is bought inside the app, through the store you installed it from (Microsoft Store, Google Play or the App Store). Payment is handled entirely by that store, under its own privacy policy. Tree Budget receives neither your name nor your payment details: only the confirmation that Premium was purchased.
No tracking, no ads
No usage analytics, no advertising cookies, no data resale. Your financial behaviour is not a product, and it never will be.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics, and no third-party fonts or scripts. Your theme (light or dark) and language choices are kept in your browser only, and are never sent to us. Like any host, Microsoft Azure, which serves these pages, processes the technical data needed to deliver them, such as your IP address.
You stay in control
Because all your data stays on your device, you keep full control of it. You can view, edit, or erase it at any time by deleting the budget or uninstalling the app.
Changes
Should this policy ever change, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
